Full roof replacement in Columbus

A completed Roof Revivers roof replacement, shown with crew photos.

Columbus, Ohio · August 2026

What we found and what we did

This Columbus rental home had two layers of shingles. The crew tore off both layers down to the roof deck, replaced 11 sheets of damaged decking, and installed a new Owens Corning Duration roof in Slatestone Gray, about 15 squares. New pipe flashings went in, the chimney was re-flashed and sealed, and a damaged piece of lap siding was replaced and painted to match. The job ran under a City of Columbus permit.

Why tear off down to the deck

A second layer of shingles adds weight and hides the decking underneath. Tearing off both layers lets the crew find and replace soft or rotted decking before the new roof goes on, instead of nailing new shingles over a problem. See our Columbus roof replacement service.
