Open metal valley and decking repair in Hilliard

A completed Roof Revivers valley flashing repair, shown with crew photos.

What we found and what we did

A property manager reported a leak in a primary bedroom ceiling, and the grounds team suspected the back valley. The roof has an open metal valley. The crew removed shingles along the valley, found water-damaged decking, replaced the decking, and shingled the slope back in against the metal valley.

Why valley flashing matters

A roof valley is where two slopes meet, and it carries more water than any other part of the roof. Valleys are flashed with metal or membrane under the shingles. When a valley runs into a wall instead of draining to a gutter, or its flashing and decking wear out, water backs up under the shingles and shows up as a ceiling stain. See our valley flashing repair service.
