What we found and what we did
Two vent pipe boots were replaced. The crew patched the decking around the pipe and shingled the new boots in.
Why pipe boot repairs matter
A pipe boot is the rubber-and-metal collar that seals a plumbing vent where it passes through the roof. Rubber collars dry out and crack over time, letting water run down the pipe into the attic.
