Damaged shingles near the ridge were replaced with Owens Corning Duration Brownwood, and new white metal wrap went on the rake fascia — shown with before, during and after crew photos.
Lewis Center, Ohio · May 2026
This Lewis Center home needed two related fixes on the same visit. Near the ridge, shingle tabs had lifted and creased so the fastening strip underneath was open. The crew replaced the damaged shingles with Owens Corning Duration Brownwood to blend with the existing roof.
On the gable, the white rake fascia wrap was also due for replacement — the old wrap was off and the wood behind it was exposed. The crew installed new white metal fascia wrap along the rake. Work was completed in May 2026, and the homeowner confirmed the fascia wrap from the ground once the crew photos were shared.
Rake fascia is the board at the sloped roof edge. When the metal wrap fails, the wood behind it takes weather and can soften. Lifted or creased shingles nearby are a separate leak risk: once a tab loses its seal, wind can keep working it open. Fixing both on one trip keeps a small edge problem from turning into decking or interior damage. See our Columbus roof repair, gutters and fascia work, and roof repair in Lewis Center.
