A full roof replacement on a Dunn home after a storm inspection found creased and unsealed shingles, shown with crew photos.
Dunn, North Carolina · Summer 2026
Our Raleigh team did a storm inspection on this Dunn home in March 2026 and went back in May to document the damage in more detail. Across several roof planes we found shingle tabs that were creased or had come unsealed, along with older patches and a missing piece on one steep slope. Each damaged spot was marked in chalk and photographed.
The homeowner went through an insurance claim, and we stayed with it until a full roof replacement was approved. The crew tore off the old roof, replaced damaged decking with new OSB sheathing, and installed a complete Owens Corning system: Oakridge architectural shingles, Starter Strip Plus at the eaves and rakes, RhinoRoof synthetic and granulated underlayment, ProEdge hip and ridge caps, and VentSure ridge vent. New aluminum step flashing, drip edge and pipe boots finished the walls, edges and penetrations. The roof has both walkable sections and steep 7/12 to 10/12 sections, and the new roof was in place by early July 2026.
Creased and unsealed shingles are easy to miss from the ground, which is why we get on the roof and document each spot before a claim moves forward. Read more about roof insurance claims in Dunn, storm damage roofing in Dunn, and our wind damage roof repair page.
