Groveport and its homes

Groveport is a city in Franklin County southeast of Columbus, with 6,009 people at the 2020 census (U.S. Census). It began in 1846, when the Ohio and Erie Canal towns of Wert's Grove and Rarey's Port merged, and today it sits beside Rickenbacker International Airport.

The city's housing count grew from 1,668 units in 2000 to 2,488 in 2020 (U.S. Census), so Groveport has both older homes around the original canal town and newer subdivisions. The two tend to leak in different places: on newer homes we check pipe boots, vents and wind-lifted shingles first; on older homes, chimney and wall flashing, valleys and the decking under worn shingles.

Roofing permits in Groveport

The City of Groveport lists replacing roof shingles among the residential projects that need a permit before work begins. Roofing uses the city's Roof, Siding, Windows, Door permit application, handled by the Building and Zoning Department at 655 Blacklick Street (614-830-2045). The application asks whether the job is a tear-off or overlay, how many layers are on the roof now, and what flashing, underlayment, ice protection and ventilation will be installed. We pull the permit as part of a replacement.

Storm damage and insurance in Groveport

After wind or hail, we inspect the roof, document damage with photos and work with any insurance adjuster; whether a claim is approved is up to your insurer. If water is coming in, call during office hours and we can tarp the roof to limit damage until the permanent repair. See storm damage roof repair and hail damage roof help in Columbus.

Roof repair or roof replacement in Groveport?

A leak at one spot, such as a pipe boot, vent, chimney or wall, can often be repaired. When shingles are worn out across the roof, or the decking is soft in several areas, a replacement makes more sense. Our repair-or-replace guide explains how we make the call.

What our customers say

I would highly recommend Roof Revivers! They assisted us with repairs following hail damage and they also repaired the roof on my parents' house. Roof Revivers does excellent work and made the process very easy. Brandon Marker was with us every step of the way from assessing the damage, meeting with the insurance adjuster, attending the repair, and following up. Connor did a fantastic job ensuring everything was completed properly and took great care in making our new skylights look better than ever. I would definitely work with Roof Revivers again if needed and will recommend them to my friends and family.

Zeke was very nice to work with. Not only he was professional, he was honest and look after our best interest. He kindly suggested to repair instead of replacing our roofs as he informed us the roof was installed sometime after 2008 with shingle of high quality instead of installed in 1997 by the original owner! I will definitely contact Zeke for our future need of roof replacement! The office was easy to work with and Robert and his team member showed up on time and was professional and did a good job to clean after the work was done! One minor suggestion: it would be wonderful if Robert could send us the photos where the repairs were done.

I had water in one of our bedrooms, I called Roof Revivers for an inspection. They were extremely prompt, every professional and honest. Given the chance to request someone for a free inspection I highly recommend Mr. Nick Stevens! Very professional, honest and thorough with his findings! We needed some sealant on some of the shingles, he repaired them without charge. I will always use this company and always refer them!! Thank you Mr. Stevens, Mr. Dietz and the rest of your staff at Roof Revivers!

I couldn't be happier with the quality and responsiveness of Roof Revivers. I called and needed a leaky roof repaired and Reed had a crew of professionals at my house the next day. I highly recommend them. They did an amazing job. Thank you Roof Revivers!!!.

Mike came out to look at the damage a tree did to my roof. He sent me pictures of the needed repairs and attached them to the estimate...which was great because I sure didn't want to climb up on my roof to see what needed to be done. He took the time to explain everything to me before the repair. His guys did a great job! When I had a minor issue Mike came out himself and fixed it the next day. It was clear that he wanted the work to be done right. He told me on more than one occasion that he was sure I didn't need a new roof. It's important to find someone honest because as a female homeowner I know nothing about roofs.

I highly recommend this company, they were very responsive and provided great service at great value. Will definitely use for all future needs.

Exceptional customer service, prompt, very professional, and knowledgeable of their craft. Would definitely call again for any repairs.

Zeke came to my home within an hour after being called. He inspected the damage and did the repair immediately. The estimate and cost were amazingly affordable. I am so pleased with the results and will definitely contact this company if/when needed in the future. The owner and Zeke were prompt, efficient, honest, and professional. I highly recommend them!

Today i worked with Matt Burkhardt of Roof Revivers and it was one of those interactions that restores your faith in humanity. He was not only extraordinarily polite but also super helpful. I personally have experience roofing and was expecting that they would try to trick me but he was straight forward and no tricks involved. I would highly recommend Roof Revivers to anyone and it is genuinely because of our interaction.

Rarely do I put the word “pleasurable” into the same sentence as “roof repairs”, but working with Roof Revivers was just that - a pleasurable experience! From same day diagnosis and repair to a price that just can’t be beat, Brandon Marker and his team at Roof Revivers provide top notch, speedy, and economical service. I would highly recommend them for your next roofing need.
